(source)The Red Cross will open a service center Thursday for those who have been affected by area flooding.

The center, which will be at the Assemblies of God in Galena, will provide disaster relief and offer one-on-one assistance to meet individual disaster-caused needs. The service is free.

The center will be open 12-6 p.m. tomorrow and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The church is located at 1026 W. Missouri 248 in Galena.

A shelter will also be open at the Harvest Tabernacle, 926 Fowler Drive in Lebanon at 5 p.m. today.

Residents are encouraged to report any disaster-caused needs to the Greater Ozarks Chapter of the American Red Cross at 832-9500 or toll-free at 866-206-0256.

Those who have been affected by the flooding will find that their needs range from finances for the clean up effort to finding a place to stay to having food and clothing for their families. These service centers are locations at which they can find the aid that they need.
