“The gates will be opened at 16h00, while the first artist will be on stage at 19h00,” said Moetie. All prominent Namibian artists approached have confirmed their participation, he said. The line-up are Namibia’s leading artists ranging from the Dog, Gazza, Gal Level, Lady May, Rizzy, Kamasutra, Sonny Boy, Kalaharians, Raphael and Pelle, VM6, Terquilla to the Verdics and Kavax. The musicians are offering free services to help the Namibia Disaster Relief Fund raise no less than N$100 000 for the flood victims.

When flooding, tornadoes or other severe storms devastate large areas, they have a profound effect. It’s hard to imagine the cleanup and the financial burden that’s placed on the those who where affected. Therefore, when communities come together - and when volunteers from around the world pitch in - to provide aid, it’s somethig really amazing. By raising funds, displaced people can find homes and begin to discover a sense of normalcy that they’ve been missing.
