Memorial Dedicated to Mine Disaster Victims
For the many who were there that day, the pain of the Crandall Canyon Mine collapse in Emery County, Utah on Aug. 6, 2007 is still being felt to this day. In spite of 64 lingering safety violations and thousands of dollars in fines, nine people, six miners and three would-be rescuers, were killed.
HUNTINGTON -On Wednesday, the families of the victims of Utah’s worst mine disaster in more than two decades gathered in a private service to dedicate the memorial and remember their loved ones.
